The international commercial arbitrations in which we have been involved have dealt with issues relating to oil and gas, construction, pharmaceuticals, finance and mergers and acquisitions, ad hoc, AAA, ICC, US-Iran Claims Tribunal and ICSID. We have been involved in more than seventy international arbitrations.

Examples:

  • Principal counsel representing a European international bank in an arbitration procedure governed by UNCITRAL rules for the recovery of a principal amount in excess of US $ 140 million pursuant to a guaranteed loan to a Russian truck manufacturer.
  • Participated in a team representing a French oil company in an ICC arbitration involving claims for over US $ 500 million involving analysis of an oil concession contract and related management and operating agreements.
  • Participating in a team to defend the interests of a Korean pharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration against charges of misappropriation of patented technology.
  • Consultation for a French subcontractor concerning its participation in an ad hoc arbitration with the main contractor.
  • Representation of a company in an ICC arbitration regarding the termination of a share sale agreement.
  • Assistance to multiple parties to an arbitration between sellers and purchasers of shares, to assist in defining certain accounting parameters so as to finally determine the price of the shares subject to the conditions imposed by the Share Transfer Agreement.
  • Principal counsel representing a Tunisian group in an ICC arbitration concerning its dispute with a multinational cosmetics company concerning breach of the contract pursuant to which the Tunisian party manufactured products under the multinational brand.
